The Monkey Bar aims to combine the best of the mixology industry with foodie trends, so the team has brought together experts from the local cocktail bar community with professional international chefs.

Director of Bar

Benedikt Houda

After discovering his passion for the art of mixology, Ben decided to bring the best of the world to his guests. He travels the world in search of inspiration, rare flavours and the latest trends. He mastered his skills under the guidance of bartenders from renowned Prague cocktail bars. He worked in Oblaca in the Žižkov Tower, Hemingway Bar, L’Fleur and AnonymouS Bar. He always tries to push the boundaries of mixology and set himself new challenges to make the experience truly unforgettable.

Executive Chef

Nenad Jovanovic

After graduating from the Culinary Institute in Switzerland, Nenad’s career took him to the world’s finest restaurants such as Geranium in Copenhagen (Michelin***), Restaurant Studio, Copenhagen (*Michelin). Before coming to Prague, he opened the Courtyard by Marriott in Belgrade as Executive Chef. Prior to The Monkey Bar, you could meet Nenad at FoodLab. Nenad enjoys using unique combinations and modern preparation methods for the ultimate taste experience, from pickling and fermenting to homemade aromatic oils and marinades.

Event Manager

Barbora Ceľuchová

Barbora Ceľuchová has extensive experience in mixology, where her success has extended to London and Shanghai.
She mastered her art of mixology at the L’Fleur bar in Prague and honed her professional communication skills at Pernod Ricard as the Global Ambassador of Becherovka. She brought excellent planning skills to the team. Barbora will be your personal contact for corporate events and special celebrations, ensuring that your expectations are exceeded.

Marketing Manager

Karolína Polatová

Karolina also comes from the world of gastronomy, having discovered her passion for hospitality when she started as a banquet waiter in a 5-star hotel. Meanwhile she was completing Masters in Marketing and Tourism, Karolina joined the Sales & Marketing team of The Luxury Collection hotel in Prague, where she was thought to be proffesional in approach and communication. After five years working under the largest hotel chain, Marriott International, she decided to go funky in The Monkey Bar Prague and will be your first point of contact for media, influencers & partnership collaborations.
